The holiday season feels different after loss.

Your heart is heavy knowing that there is someone missing, yet you are keenly aware of how grateful you are to have people around you that you love.

Holidays after loss, for me, have become more special in a way. My heart still aches with longing, wishing I could watch Flynn open up presents on Christmas morning. But I also love harder, and with intention, soaking in every moment I can with my family, with the children I still have with me earth-side.

I pray that you would feel the comfort and peace from our God this season. Knowing that He also knows what it feels like to have lost a child. He gave up his only son for us. 🩵

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. -Romans 15:13

Everyone grieves differently and we all process our losses uniquely. We don’t get to pick when a fresh wave of grief will hit us. But mama, you don’t have to keep apologizing. No one gets to put an expiration date on your grief. So if you need to take a minute today to ugly cry, do it. Consider this your permission slip to grieve.

New for this month and going forward: If you are planning to attend one of the support groups, we ask that you send a quick message or email to reserve your spot by 9am on the day of the meeting. This will help us prepare for the evening accordingly.
