Our unit visited Oak Hammock Marsh for a sleepover camp this past weekend. They participated in some amazing activities put on by the marsh including critter dipping, indigenous games, a marsh walk, visited the museums and learned about stars and migration. Thank you Oak Hammock Marsh for hosting us and providing us with knowledgeable interpreters.

This past weekend, our 1st. Ste. Anne Girl Guides had the amazing opportunity to attend our very first Manitoba Moose game and it did not disappoint!

From the moment we walked into the arena, the excitement was contagious. The girls cheered loud, showed incredible team spirit, and had so much fun experiencing the energy of live hockey together. Whether it was watching the fast paced action on the ice, spotting mascots, or enjoying treats, there were smiles all around.

Opportunities like this help build friendships, confidence, and unforgettable memories and we’re so grateful we could share it as a unit.

We definitely have some new Moose fans!

Thinking Day!
Our unit had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Manitoba Girl Guides Thinking Day Event!
We got to experience other cultures, celebrate friendship and connect with Girl Guides Across our Province during this Folklarama themed event.

Our First Camp Adventure!

This month, our Girl Guides unit experienced their very first camp, and what an incredible weekend it was!
We were so lucky to attend Science Camp, where our girls dove into hands-on experiments, creative challenges, and outdoor fun.
From curious questions to excited discoveries, it was amazing to watch their confidence grow and their love of learning shine.

A huge thank you to our D.C Tammy and all the volunteers for hosting such a well-organized and inspiring event. Our girls came home tired, proud, and already asking about the next camp!

Our 1st. Ste. Anne Girl Guides unit held its first sleepover last night at the exceptional Pheniox Cheer Gym, which proved to be an amazing success. The girls engaged in multiple crafts, practiced in bedrolls, consumed enough popcorn for the whole town, and appreciated the outstanding facilities. We extend our gratitude to Phoenix Cheer Athletics for hosting us; our unit had an extraordinary experience!

Our Sparks and Embers will be going door to door selling our Chocolatey Mint cookies on Thursday October 2, 2025. Each box is $6 and cash is preferred but a square reader will be available. We will be on the blocks close to Ste. Anne Hospital. Listen for the deliciousness of girl guide cookies knocking on your door Thursday Evening.
