It was bittersweet as our final visitors to the Imhoff Studio on Sunday graciously agreed to a photo to mark the end of a busy 2026 season.
Thank you to Mervin and Joyce, and their children Liam and Aryanna, from Fort Pitt, Saskatchewan, for spending time with us today. It was wonderful to tour you through the studio and answer all your great questions about the artist and his history.

What a great way to end the season! The Imhoff Studio is now closed, and we look forward to welcoming visitors next summer.
Watch for updates along the way.

Thank you, everyone, for including the Imhoff Studio in your travel plans. We sure met some wonderful and interesting people these past two months.

For this family of four generations, there was no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than visiting the Imhoff Studio. We were delighted to welcome Abbie (far right) and her mother, Kelly, and her mother Dianne, and her mother Louise.
Wow! Thanks for visiting, ladies.

Edgar Degas, the seminal French artist, said: Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.

We’re reminded of that every time someone enters the Imhoff Studio, and as they explore the art in ways that are uniquely their own.

To all our guests from near and far, thank you for visiting. The studio closes for the season tomorrow, Sunday, August 30.

The Imhoff Studio recently hosted another visitor from across the miles. Rocio Zawada, from Mexico, is spending part of the summer with her dad, Ross, before returning to her community in Mexico to begin her career in medicine.
Thank you for visiting us Dr Rocio! Best wishes.

The most important and meaningful connections are those that span across a family tree, and this week, the Imhoff Studio welcomed family members from across generations.

Visiting from Edmonton were Trevor Waddell and Nicole Sayers (left), along with Jim and Josabeth Imhoff (middle) from Texas. Trevor and Jim are first cousins, sharing a grandfather, George Imhoff, who was a son of the artist Berthold Imhoff (1868-1939).

For this foursome, their visit to the Imhoff Studio in Saskatchewan to see the depth and breadth of their great-grandfather's work was awe-inspiring, meaningful, and deeply connecting.
It was all of that for us, too!
Thank you for making this important trip and for spending time with Bert and Phyllis Imhoff.

Thank you for including us in your day!

Unfortunately, today's post isn't a positive one.

Illegal dumping is a growing problem, and recently, the disdainful habit hit close to this provincial heritage site when someone decided to dump their refuse just a short walking distance from the Imhoff Studio. The complete lack of respect and utter laziness is compounded by the fact that the actual landfill site is less than a five minute drive from this very spot.

Don't make your unwanted items someone else's problem. We have enough to do without cleaning up after you, too.

It’s always exciting to welcome first time visitors to the Imhoff Studio, and such was the case when we met David Corneliuson and Penny Holden from Mildred, and Cam and Carol Zemp from Battleford.
This fabulous foursome were having a great day, and their enthusiasm for the artist and his work were a delight for us, too.
Thank you for visiting!

The Imhoff Studio is located south of St. Walburg, Saskatchewan, and is open Thursdays through Sundays until the end of August.
