With just 3 days left until Induction Day here at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum, we're looking back over some of our favourite Induction weekend memories.
The class of 1998 was our first group inducted following the opening of the new Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum in our current home of St. Marys, ON. And what a class it was! We inducted Ron Roncetti, George Lee, and the Canadian members of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League.
These ballplayers blazed a trail for women's baseball, and within the AAGPBL, 10% of the league was Canadian!
At Induction weekend in 1998, we were so fortunate to be able to host 17 of those 68 Canadians to honour their contributions to the sport of baseball.
