🐾‼️Dog Available for Adoption‼️🐾

Unfortunately we have been unable to locate the owner of this sweet young female pup over the weekend, so she is now looking for a loving forever home. She’s approximately 6 months old and full of affection!

If you or someone you know is interested in adopting her, please contact the RM of St. Laurent by phone or e-mail. An application form is required, and standard kennel and adoption fees apply.

Let’s help this loving girl find the family she deserves!

LAKE MANITOBA RESORT:
The trails are officially open, and for the first time since opening, Lake Manitoba Resort is welcoming snowmobilers!

A big thank you to Club Snow Inc. from the Portage area for the work grooming the trails into the resort, with access from both Portage and Highway 6. The trails are in great shape.

We’re happy to welcome the Snoman community to the resort and are offering 15% off all food and beverage for Snoman members while visiting.

If you’re out riding, drop in and make the resort part of your day.

RECREATIONAL ANGLING CREEL SURVEY’S – LAKE MANITOBA

The MWF has officially kicked off Recreational Angling Creel Surveys on Lake Manitoba! From now until mid-February, you will see our creel clerks at various access points around the lake chatting with recreational anglers.
During these surveys, we are collecting information such as what anglers caught and kept, how long they fished, the type of bait used, and where they are visiting from. This information plays a vital role in helping the Manitoba Fisheries Department make informed decisions around fisheries management and supports ongoing efforts toward eco-certification of the Lake Manitoba fishery.

Thanks for taking a few minutes to chat with our staff—your participation helps support sustainable angling for years to come.

A FIPPA request confirmed that as of March 31, 2025 there were 9 vacant suites at Inwood Seniors Lodge for reasons not related to maintenance. We’ve since learned that number has grown to 10, soon to be 11.

If there’s a waitlist for seniors housing, why are these units vacant? On April 17, I asked the Minister for Housing, Addictions and Homelessness directly, while tabling this very FIPPA information, “Why are these homes for vulnerable Manitobans being left vacant?” I didn’t get an answer then. Maybe if we all speak up, we’ll get an answer now.

PLEASE SHARE THIS POST… Reach as many people as possible to ensure the people that built this province, our aging seniors, have somewhere to call home.

I’m working to get answers, and you can help by raising your voice too. Contact the Premier and the Minister today and ask "Why are these units vacant?"

Manitobans deserve answers. Seniors deserve homes. Together we can get it done.

From Paul Belair,
CAMERON SAFE AND SOUND! Cameron has returned to the hospital. As you can imagine his entire family is jubilant. In the short seven hours I want to give a huge outpouring of gratitude to the love received and massive support from the community, friends and beyond. A massive thank you to Dradon Day from ROC advance solutions who took his time to do thermal imaging drone searches for my son. Such kindness from strangers is overwhelming. Thank you to all the volunteers who rushed off in search for Cameron within the Ericksdale area. I am rushing back to the hospital as we speak with a massive sigh of relief! Thank you all.

Our Story

This page was originally created by Jeff Douglas, after seeing Sandpiper Estates' page, to keep residents of Twin Lakes Beach up to date with issues concerning our community. Once the Flood Hit on May 31st, 2011, this page became a Very Important Source of Info, not only for TLB residents but, the St. Laurent Area In General. For Several Weeks, This Page Was Actually The Only Source of Info!

This page used to be unofficially associated with the TLBA Executive but, as of 2019, that association has been basically severed due to a Coup d'état by 1 Executive Member, backed by other members, & non-members, of the TLB Association, Causing a Mass Resignation By The Other 4 Members of the Executive.

Members Used to Be Able to Post Freely To To The Page But, Due To Inappropriate Posts, Scammers & Spammers, All Posts Must Be Approved Prior To Being Posted.

If You Want Something Posted To The Page, Message The Page, and It Will Likely Be Posted. Thx .... J D
