We were delighted to welcome Mayor Danny Breen to our meeting this week for an update on what’s happening across our City.

The Rotary Club of St. John’s has always valued its close relationship with the City of St. John’s, especially through our shared commitment to enhancing our beautiful parks and community spaces. We’re proud of the projects we’ve supported together, and we look forward to many more collaborations that strengthen our city and serve our community.

The Rotary Club of St. John’s proudly presented Past President Nancy Hollett with the True Rotarian Award last week. This award celebrates Rotarians who embody the values of fellowship, integrity, and service in everything they do.

Nancy’s steady leadership, compassion, and commitment to making a difference have touched every corner of our club. We are grateful for her contributions and inspired by her example.

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Rev. Ian Wishart. Ian passed away this week at the age of 95 after a long and dedicated life of service.

A member of the Rotary Club of St. John's for more than 40 years, Ian was a proud member of the Caribou Fireside Group and, until just recently, regularly attended luncheons . In 2014, Ian received the True Rotarian Award from the Club for his commitment to the very essence of Rotary - Service Above Self.

He will be missed. We send our deepest sympathies to his daughter Janet, his son David, and all of his family and friends.

It was an honour to have Rotarian Premier Tony Wakeham join us for lunch today.
We’re encouraged to hear you’ll be using the Rotary 4-Way Test approach in governing our province.

Is it the truth?
