Meet Brittany Fitzpatrick! She’s been in the industry for 6 years now, currently working at Steers Insurance.

Brittany was recruited by Steers fresh out of university and hasn’t looked back since. Her favourite part of working in the insurance industry is that it is always evolving and she is always learning something new.

Joining YBN has given her the opportunity to meet and connect with other young people in the industry.

When she’s not working in insurance, you can find her hanging out with friends, reading, or working out. She’s always trying out a new fitness class!

Meet Nathan Peters! He’s been in the industry for 5 years now, currently working at Aon Reed Stenhouse.

He got into the industry through someone he met through golf and hasn’t looked back since! He also has family ties in the industry – his grandfather owned his own adjusting company, and his uncle also owns his own adjusting company – so you could say insurance is in his blood! His favourite part of working in the industry is creating and nurturing the relationships with his clients and developing a level of trust.

Joining YBN has given him the ability to interact with other like-minded insurance colleagues. The work that is being done within the young brokers committee will help the development of the insurance industry in Newfoundland, and that is something he wanted to be a part of.

When he’s not working in insurance, you can find him playing golf, watching Netflix, volunteering, or hanging with his dog Daisy!

Meet Lacey Crickard! She’s been in the industry for 18 years now, currently working at Wedgwood Insurance.

While in university, Lacey took an admin job at an insurance brokerage and ended up loving it and hasn’t looked back since! Her favourite part of working in the insurance industry is that it is always changing, and you get to build great relationships, which is amazing for those who love connecting with people.

Joining YBN has given her the ability to network as well as the ability to give back to an organization that helps the industry, more specifically brokers, grow and develop.

When she’s not working in insurance, you can find her hanging out with her mini me, and socializing with friends and family.

Meet John Button! He’s been in the industry for 2 and 1/2 years now, currently working at Wedgwood Insurance.

John was recruited by Wedgwood fresh out of university and hasn’t looked back since. His favourite part of working in the insurance industry is that no day is the same. Every day brings along a new experience and opportunity which keeps things interesting.

Being new in the industry, he was excited to join YBN which allows him to meet and socialize with other individuals within the insurance industry. Young Brokers events are a great way to network with other like-minded people.

When he’s not working in insurance, you can find him watching sports or playing sports. He is a big sports fan!
