Rainbow Riders - Therapeutic Riding Newfoundland and Labrador Inc. Through therapeutic riding, horses help physically and mentally challenged children, youth and adults achieve things that may seem impossible.

For over 30 years, Rainbow Riders has been delivering therapeutic horseback riding and equine-assisted activities for individuals with diverse physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. They help an autistic child make connections and improve communication skills. They lend a six-year-old child, confined since birth to a wheelchair, his legs to run through a field. undraising, Rainbow Riders operates from a full-time facility that can house 16 horses and ponies and provides an indoor riding arena to support year-round operation. This work is only possible with the assistance of generous donations from members of the provincial community. Any contribution that you make will make a difference and will help us continue to provide our valuable program to children of our province who live with disabilities.

As the weather finally begins to warm up, your friends at Rainbow Riders wanted to share a few gentle reminders for visitors! β˜€οΈπŸ΄

πŸš— Please drive slowly when entering and exiting the property. Our horses frequently cross through the parking lot throughout the day, so it is essential that everyone drives carefully while on-site.

πŸ₯Ύ Before exploring our private trail network, please check in with a staff member. Programs often take place on the trails during nice weather. To protect the safety, privacy, and confidentiality of our clients, visitors are not permitted on the trails while sessions are taking place. Public access is welcome once approved by staff.

πŸ“Έ You're welcome to take photos of our beautiful horses, but please respect the privacy of our participants by not taking photos of them.

🐎 Please do not touch or feed the horses. Our horses are working therapy animals, and their paddocks are safe spaces where they can rest and relax.

🚭 No smoking is permitted anywhere on the property.

These rules help keep our participants, horses, volunteers, staff, and visitors safe. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for everyone at Rainbow Riders!

Stabling requests and trailer parking requests must go through Madison ([email protected]), so please contact her regarding day/night stall availability! First consideration will be given to those travelling over 100km so it is not necessarily on a first come first serve basis.

If you have any questions at all, please let us know! We are so excited to see you all. Rainbow Riders participants, please wait to submit an entry until communicating with Erin or Kyra!
