This morning!

Amnesty International, the United Nations, the International Court of Justice and countless other global experts and academics who study genocide have stated without confusion for years now that what Israel is doing to Palestine is a genocide - a deliberate and systematic murdering of people and stealing of land to be replaced with a different people, also known as ethnic cleansing. Long before October 7, 2023, many were calling it a genocide, and that Israel had imposed apartheid over Palestinians, using many of the same tactics and laws that South Africa had for white South Africans versus Black South Africans.

Elbit Systems is an Israeli arms manufacturer. They manufacture many of the weapons used to uphold Israeli power over Palestinians. They build the weapons used in the genocide of Palestinian people. They partner with other arms manufacturers to create efficient killing machines.

Kraken Robotics, a St. John’s based robotics company that has quickly grown and expanded with several global offices lists Elbit Systems as a customer in their 2025 year-end financial repot.

While the genocide of Palestinians may feel like it is so far away, locals companies are contributing to and profiting from the suffering and murder of Palestinian peoples. Local business owners are actively seeking contracts with the very people responsible for these horrific crimes.

To be clear, entering into business with Elbit Systems today is the same as entering into business with South Africa in the 1980s, or with Germany in the 1940s.
