Unifor Local 597 Dominion Memorial members,

As you know, the Dominion Memorial store is scheduled to close on May 8. We understand this is an incredibly difficult and uncertain time, and we want you to know that Unifor is here to support you.

Information Sessions

In -person information sessions will be held today, March 2, 2026, at the Holiday Inn at 180 Portugal Cove Road featuring representatives from:

• Service Canada, and
• Department of Jobs, Growth and Rural Development, NL Gov.

These follow-up sessions will offer more detailed, program specific information and provide opportunities for questions and guidance.

All members are encouraged to attend. The sessions are scheduled for the following times:

9:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m.
2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

More updates will be shared following the meeting. Thank you for your attention and participation.

Unifor has scheduled an Information Session for today at 7:00 p.m. NL time. This is an introductory session to provide general information and answer high-level questions.

Unifor Local 597 and the Atlantic Regional Office are actively engaged with the employer to ensure the process is fair, transparent, and fully compliant with your collective agreement.
