More of the same from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador when it comes to equines. Small farm owners and pony owners are excluded from AgriStability program that helps animal owners who were affected by the drought last summer and access to feed and hay. Congratulations the new Premier of Newfoundland & Labrador, Tony Wakeham and his new cabinet. A special congratulations to Minister Craig Pardy. Minister Pardy has been a terrific supporter of the Newfoundland Pony. It is our wish that he will be continue to advocate for this amazing creature from inside government. We wish you the very best and much success.

That’s a wrap for the season, the ponies have officially packed their hay bags and headed home! The heritage pasture is officially closed for the season.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by, visited, and shared some love with them this season — they enjoyed every bit of the attention

From all of the Pasture Staff and the Newfoundland Pony Society, it was so nice meeting you all, we hope you enjoyed your time at the pasture as much as we did!
