National Volunteer Week is a special time for us to be able to thank our dedicated volunteers who help make the work of LWR possible! From our Board of Directors to our Core Program Selection Committee to our volunteer facilitators and event volunteers, we are so grateful to you for your passion and dedication to LWRs mission and vision!

It's National Volunteer Week, and the theme for 2023 is Volunteering Weaves Us Together.

This theme reveals the importance of volunteering to the strength and vibrancy of our communities through the interconnected actions we take to support one another.

Yesterday we hosted our 7th Leadership Day for the Class of 2023 & the class went on a justice system road trip! The day began w/ visiting our friends Waterloo Regional Police Service & moved on to a tour of the Waterloo Region Courthouse. They ended their learning day touring the Grand Valley Institution for Women. We are so grateful to Staff Superintendant John Goodman for his help in making this day a reality!
