⚠️ COMMUNITY FLOODING UPDATE & SUPPORT INFORMATION ⚠️
Following the recent storm and flooding throughout our community, the RM of St. François Xavier declared a State of Local Emergency.
Many residents have been dealing with flooded yards, damaged property, road closures, flooded crops, and the uncertainty that comes with these difficult conditions.
Through it all, one thing has been especially clear: our community knows how to come together when people need help!
To everyone who checked on a neighbour, lent a hand, shared information, provided equipment, volunteered their time, or offered support — thank you. Your kindness, generosity, and willingness to help one another reflect the very best of our community.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our RM staff, Council, Public Works, emergency personnel, and everyone involved in the local response efforts. Many were dealing with flooding concerns at their own homes while simultaneously responding to and helping residents across our community. Your dedication and service are deeply appreciated.
If you are experiencing flooding concerns or require assistance, please contact:
📞 Jeff Dayton, Municipal Emergency Coordinator (MEC): 204-792-0644
The RM currently has water pumps and sandbags available if needed.
We would also like to recognize Jerry Muys and Muys Construction for offering assistance to community members in need. Generators, fuel, sump pumps, and groundwater pumps may be available to assist where possible.

Stay safe, everyone.
