SABRI has mailed postcards throughout the region sharing information about SABRI WORKS, our Regional Workforce Development Initiative.

This initiative is focused on strengthening sustainable employment across 16 communities on the Great Northern Peninsula — from North Boat Harbour to Goose Cove, anchored by St. Anthony.

We encourage businesses, organizations, community partners, and members of the public to reach out if you are interested in discussing workforce matters, including skills gaps, training needs, recruitment and retention, youth out-migration, and opportunities for economic diversification.

Over the coming weeks, we will also be reaching out directly as we schedule focus group meetings, activities, and interviews across the SABRI area.

Your input is important as we work together to build a resilient workforce that supports thriving communities now and into the future.

A big thank you to our summer student Katelyn for all of her hard work at SABRI Farms this season!

We truly appreciated her dedication, positive attitude, and the effort she brought to the farm each day. Her contributions were a great help throughout the summer, and we’re grateful to have had her as part of the SABRI Farms team.

The White Cape Harbour section of the Iceberg Trail is now complete, including a chain for safety for a steep section where switchbacks is not possible. This section is a loop so you can park and easily return to your car. More great work from the Iceberg Trail builders as the crew now moves on to make upgrades to the Camel’s Back Trail in St. Lunaire-Griquet.
