For any who have completed the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Sníchim (Squamish Language) Certificate program, there will be two information sessions about plans for the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Sníchim Immersion Diploma program, beginning in May of next year.

This mobile mammogram clinic will be present at the Chieftain Centre Mall from October 26 (Monday) to November 14 (Saturday). Anyone can request an appointment with the clinic during this three-week period; see www.screeningbc.ca for more information.

On November 5 (Thursday), at 2:00 – 5:40 pm, there are a block of appointments reserved for the Squamish Nation Community. If you use the contact information below, you can put your name on the list, and BC Cancer will reach out to you directly to confirm your booking.

For today only, Totem Hall is open as an advance voting station for the BC provincial election. This station is open to anyone in the area — not only Squamish Nation members, nor only Indigenous peoples.

The voting station, which is located in the Stawamus Room (right-hand side of the gym if you enter from the front doors) is open until 8:00 PM. If you are able to come, it is recommended to arrive as early as possible.

At least one piece of BC-issued ID is required. A driver's licence, a BC Care Card, or an SCIS (Status) Card are the preferred forms of ID.

If you have any questions, the election workers present will help direct you as possible.

These have been going fast, but there is still a lot of food here! (It also includes some baked goods that are gluten-free and vegan.) This food will be available until all is gone, or until the building closes at 10:00pm, whichever comes first.

Just a few leafy greens are available at Totem Hall today. The building is open until 10:00pm, so come pick up a few!

(And depending on when you arrive, you could potentially also stay for Group Fitness class in the fitness room, or Drop-in Pickleball. It will be fun!)
