We are welcoming the start of September with Enduro #5 on Wednesday, September 2nd, hosted by 7mesh, RideHub, Canadian Outdoor Medical Consulting, and !

Head up to the Diamond Head network for a 3-stage race, followed by an evening gathering at RideHub (40330 Tantalus Rd). Roll down after your final stage for delicious Indian food (remember to select your meat or veggie meal preference during registration), cold drinks from Taper, and an amazing lineup of prizing from our hosts!

◾Chip Pickup: 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Pseudo Lot
◾Stage 1: 5:30pm to 6:45pm
◾Stage 2: 5:30pm to 7:00pm
◾Stage 3: 5:40pm to 7:00pm

Whistler Blackcomb has opened early volunteer registration for the upcoming UCI Downhill World Cup from September 25th to 27th in Whistler. S***A members get first pick of shifts before registration opens to the general public this Friday, August 28th!

For every volunteer shift completed by a S***A member, the Epic Promise Foundation is making a direct donation back to S***A to support our local trail network.

How to get involved:
◾Head to the early registration link: https://whistler-blackcomb.volunteerlocal.com/volunteer/?id=110357
◾Select S***A on the registration form and enter your membership number so your shift counts toward trail funding.
◾Select the shifts that you are interested in!

Need your membership number? Visit our Spruce Registration page, click 'Manage Existing Registration' in the top right corner, and grab your ID.

Spots open to the wider public on Friday, so jump in early to lock in your preferred roles and get inside the ropes at a World Cup event!

As many of you have seen by now, the ‘For the Love of Trails’ campaign has been live since early June. This campaign is a partnership between Tourism Squamish and S***A, two Squamish non-profits working together to close the gap in trail maintenance funding. Tourism Squamish is funding the campaign and matching donations up to $10,000 this summer, while all donations go back to S***A for trail maintenance, trail construction and stewardship of our community's trails.

‘For the Love of Trails’ is focused on one thing: helping fund trail maintenance and stewardship in Squamish through visitor contributions. S***A's broader finances are separate from the campaign; however, we'd like to take this opportunity to remind you how your membership, sponsorship and donation dollars directly fund trail maintenance and stewardship each year.

Our season finale race event is coming up on Sunday, September 13th with the full-day XC and Enduro Double Header, and we are looking for a bit of help! With the event running all day and featuring both disciplines, season-overall awards, and an after-party at the Squamish Plaza, we need plenty of hands on deck to keep everything rolling smoothly and safely for our racers.

If you can commit to a couple of hours or spend the whole day on the dirt with us, we would really appreciate your support! Our events cannot happen without our volunteer community. We have roles available for course marshals, timing assistance, check-in, and venue support.
