Squamish General Hospital Gift Shop

Squamish General Hospital Gift Shop Funds are raised to purchase equipment and aids for patient comfort at Squamish General Hospital and Hilltop House by volunteers.

The gift shop offers a variety of gift items, reading material, toiletries, cards, crafts, snacks, and knitted items for patients, staff members and the general public. Medwatch: The Auxiliary sponsors this program which makes medical information available to emergency response teams. It is offered to residents 50+ and those with chronic illnesses. TV Services: The Auxiliary owns and operates a re

ntal TV service for hospital patients. Mammography: Auxiliary members, since 1997, have provided support service for the twice-yearly mobile Mammography program. Fundraising Activities: Christmas Bazaar, Bake sales, and raffles. Accomplishments: The members of the Auxiliary believe in supporting the Health Services in our community and are proud of the services we are able to provide. The Auxiliary currently donates approx. $35,000 annually for the purchase of equipment for the Hospital and Hilltop House. Recent purchases have included 15 new TV sets, $10,000 toward chemotherapy equipment, as well as artwork, furnishings, and musical keyboard for Hilltop House.
