In April, our President Rod, along with members Phillip and Glenn, attended ShedFest West hosted by Men’s Sheds Canada

The event brought together Men’s Sheds from across Western Canada to share ideas, successes, challenges, and ways to strengthen the “men supporting men” movement within our communities.

Our attendees returned with plenty of valuable insights, new ideas, and inspiration that we’ll be presenting and discussing within our group as we continue looking at ways to improve what we do and better support the well-being, connection, and sense of purpose that WRSSMS provides.

Who says field trips are just for kids? 🚌
Last Wednesday, our group had an amazing visit to the Semiahmoo Fish and Game Club! It was inspiring to see the incredible work they do in supporting local wildlife, advocating for nature, and operating their hatchery.

Experiences like this remind us how important it is for all of us to play a role in protecting the unique natural environment we’re fortunate to enjoy.

Our member Bob continues to support the Flourishing Foundation through hands-on craftsmanship. Previously, he built a table and chairs from reclaimed solid white oak pews donated by a church.

This time, he has refurbished a set of chairs to assist a family in need. A practical contribution making a meaningful impact in the community.
