We offer educational summer day camps and a volunteer program at the Elbow Lake Environmental Education Centre (a campus of the Queen’s University Biological Station). Eco-Adventure Day Camp

Try our educational day camps for children 8 – 13 during July and August. Hands-on learning as well as traditional camp activities promote fun, fitness, and a love of nature. Camp includes outdoors activitie

s, science experiments, arts and crafts, and guest presentations by experts from Queen’s and the community. See our registration page or contact us for details. Session 1: A Bug’s Life

Session 4: Just Keep Swimming

Session 5: How to Train Your Reptile (and Amphibian)

Session 6: Mammals, Inc. Leader in Training Volunteer Program (Volunteer Hours Guaranteed)

Our LIT Program is an advanced four-day program for youth aged 13-18 interested in advancing their leadership and outdoors skills. It includes leadership training, virtual canoe training, outdoors activities, and everything needed to help participants volunteer as a part of the Eco-Adventure team. There’s also plenty of time for fun! Participants will take part in several interactive team building activities and optional virtual evening “campfires”. We guarantee at least 15 volunteer hours per participant (with the potential for more)! Family Night

🌿✨ Family Nights at Elbow Lake are back for Summer 2026! ✨🌿
Join us every Thursday evening from July 16 to August 27 at the Elbow Lake Environmental Education Centre for a series of free, family-friendly programs filled with creativity, discovery, and outdoor fun. All are welcome, but registration is required in advance.

This year’s weekly themes include:

🧭 July 23 – Map Quest
🦊 July 30 – Sensing Survival
🔬 August 6 – Marsh Monsters
🦫 August 13 – Busy Beavers
🐦 August 20 – Build a Birdhouse
✨ August 27 – A Night Under the Stars

Want to make a night of it? Families can also choose to stay overnight in one of our cabins for $90/night + HST. During your stay, enjoy 8 km of trails, canoeing, campfire time, and more.

GREAT NEWS! We are officially piloting a March Break Camp! This year's "Mini-Camp" will run from March 18-20 (Wed-Fri), 9am-4pm. We're only taking 10 lucky campers, aged 6-10, for this very special program. Please note that due to the small size of this camp, transportation is NOT provided; campers need to be dropped off and picked up at Elbow Lake.
