Each year the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation holds its annual "Tulips for QEH" campaign. This year they added Souris as a distribution location and asked for a local group to help. The Souris Lions Club was happy to take this on and Lions Buddy and Carol Aitken were there to ensure everyone who purchased received their tulips.

In October of 2024 the Souris Lions Club lost a dedicated and passionate member in Henny Hoogerbrugge. Henny was proud of what the club did for our community and with that in mind, bequeathed a sum of money to the club from her estate. On Thursday, the club directed 5000$ of Henny's bequest and matched it with $5000 from the club in support of the Souris Regional Home and School effort to add a new playground at Souris Regional School. We were thrilled to have Paige Gardiner, Jessica Townshend and Lynne MacPhee visit our meeting to tell us about this exciting project.

Today several members of the Souris Lions Club visited several of our great community partners to pick up gift donations for our Christmas Box program.
