Souris Striders Ski Club Souris Striders Ski Club is a volunteer-run Nordic ski club in Eastern PEI with 13 km of ski and snowshoe trails, including 8 km lit. Call 902 969 - 0158.

Enjoy groomed classic and skate skiing, snowshoe routes, and a licensed lodge with events and cozy après-ski vibes. An hours drive from Charlottetown, nestled on the Souris Line Road, you will find the beautiful Souris Striders Ski Club, a spacious lodge perched at the entrance of 101 acres of pristine mixed woodland. Founded in 1988 by a core group of enthusiasts, this gem offers trails for classic, skate skiing, and snow shoeing. The trail system includes a beginner (3 K & 3.5K Green) intermediate (6K Blue) and an advanced trail (8K Black Diamond.) Night skiing is available from 5 - 10pm on the 3 km lighted trail. All trails are well marked with proper signage. Ski and Snowshoe Memberships, ski and snowshoe rentals & day passes are available for new and old members. The volunteers are busy getting the trails in top shape with the hopes they will be ready this weekend! Soon you will be quietly cruising the flats on the lighted section or gliding quickly down the Fox Run. Great low-impact / or high energy physical exercise while taking in nature at its best. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, there is no need to hibernate this winter! See you on the trails!

A little off-season update from the trails. 🌲

Earlier this week, Souris Striders Ski Club was honoured to receive a 2026 Access Award from ResourceAbilities. The award recognizes the club's efforts to improve accessibility, including offering Parks Canada Sand & Snow Wheelchairs so more people can enjoy our trails and woodland surroundings.

A special thank you to Andy and Sherry, whose efforts helped bring the initiative to Souris Striders and make this opportunity available to our community during the 2026 season.

While winter may feel a long way off, we're already looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the trails next season. Stay tuned as we continue looking for ways to make our trails and programs accessible for more people to enjoy ❄️

Monday, March 30 Trail Update ❄️

We had a great last March ski weekend out there, and now we’ll see if we can sneak in an April one.

A bit of mixed weather in the forecast this week, so we’ll take things day by day and see how the snow and trails hold up. As of today, our 13 km of trails are still in pretty good shape—just well loved after a busy weekend.

If conditions stay on our side, the rental shop will be open:
Monday–Wednesday 4–8pm
Thursday–Saturday 10–8pm
Sunday 10–5pm

All hours are condition dependent, and we’ll keep sharing daily updates as the week unfolds. If we’re able, we’ll also be hoping to get one more Thursday night ski in under the lights.

If you’re heading out, be sure to check conditions and use your judgement where needed. Let’s get out while we still can… 2026 skiing continues ⛷️

Loaf & Ladle is at Souris Striders Ski Club from 5–8pm serving up hearty soups & stews 🍲 The trails are in great shape and it’s shaping up to be a beautiful stretch of skiing to finish off March… but tonight’s the night to get out and make the most of it ⛷️✨

Ski, warm up with a bowl, then stick around for trivia with Paul Deveau starting at 7pm as part of our end of season celebration. Grab your crew, settle in, and make a night of it.

Saturday, March 28 Trail Update ❄️

All trails were groomed this morning and they’re looking really good. A little icy at the start, but overall some of the nicest late-season conditions we’ve had. Not bad for the last weekend of March.

Temps are lining up well today and tomorrow, making it a great time to get out and enjoy it while it’s here. If you’ve been thinking about one more ski, this is your weekend.

Rental shop is open until 8pm today and Sunday 10–5.

Tonight at the lodge we’re celebrating the season with trivia from 7–10 with Paul Deveau, plus Loaf & Ladle serving soups and stews from 5–8. Perfect way to wrap up a day on the trails or just come out for the evening.

Fresh snow to kick off the last weekend of March❄️

Friday, March 27 and what was supposed to be rain turned into a nice refresh on the trails. Grooming is planned for tonight once things cool down, hopefully setting us up for a great weekend of skiing at Striders. We’ll share another update once grooming has taken place.

If you’ve been waiting for one more go this season, this is a good one to get out for.

Rental shop hours this weekend:
Friday & Saturday 10–8 | Sunday 10–5

Plus Saturday night we begin to wrap things up at the lodge with our end of season celebration. Trivia with Paul Deveau runs 7–10, and Donal from Loaf & Ladle will be serving up soups and stews from 5–8. A perfect way to finish a day on the trails.
