There are two types of people in this world. East Coasters and those who wish they were. Now is your chance to become one, if only for an evening.

Cedar Heights once again is bringing in fresh lobster for its annual East Coast Lobster Kitchen Party...with the added touch of some tasty desserts. What healthier dinner could you hope for than lobster and butter and then sugary stuff to end the meal??

We are bringing back Saltwater Cowboy for an evening of Down East music. He will get you tapping your toes, stomping your feet and joining in song. He raised the roof at Cedar Heights last year and time has not slowed him down.

So buy your tickets on line at cedarheightscommunity.ca/whats-happening/events-listing (on-line sales close on Wednesday, May 27th) or in person at Cedar Heights (2316 Lakeview Drive) on Tuesday, May 26th.

Then, come on over to Cedar Heights at 4:30 on Saturday, June 6th. You will leave with a full stomach, legs that won't stop dancing and East Coast music that you will be humming for the next few weeks. Don't forget to bring your own dishes, utensils, a bib and of course some money for the bar and 50/50.

Fir Beetle Presentations at Cedar Heights Social Centre,
2316 Lakeview Drive, Blind Bay.
2:00 - 4:00 pm, Thursday, February 26th

Douglas fir beetle infestations are significant natural disturbance in British Columbia, particularly in the Interior, targeting stressed and mature Douglas fir trees. Come and listen to presentations from three experts in the ara about the Fir Beetle and other pests that are attacking trees in our area and you can protect your trees.

We are delighted to be able to offer the members of our community the opportunity to learn how to administer C.P.R. during a two-hour session. If you require certification, you can sign up for a full-day session of C.P.R. and First Aid. Both sessions will be offered by a Red Cross qualified instructor.

Registration begins on Wednesday, February 11.

LOCATION: Cedar Heights Social Centre, 2316 Lakeview Drive

OPTION 1

SATURDAY, MARCH 14

TIME: 9 - 11 a.m. - a two-hour class, focussing on the administration of CPR. No age limit, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
MAXIMUM: 12 participants. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: MARCH 10.

COST: donation

INCLUDES: coffee, tea & snacks

OPTION 2

SATURDAY, MARCH 28

TIME: 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - earn a certificate for Emergency First Aid & CPR through Red Cross.

MAXIMUM: 12 participants. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: MARCH 24.

COST: $195 (Cash or debit in person at Cedar Heights (T/Th 1-3 p.m.) or e-transfer to [email protected]. $205 if you book online through our website.

INCLUDES: a healthy lunch, tea, coffee and snacks.
