We're recruiting for our Board of Directors! 🌳

Since 1994, Sooke Transition House Society has supported women and children affected by gender-based violence through our 24/7 support and info line, emergency shelter (Annie's Place), outreach, victims services and counselling programs. Our Board provides the governance and strategic oversight that makes this work possible - and we're looking for a few new people to join us.

Skills in law or governance are welcome, but they're not what matters most. What matters is your interest in our mission, your alignment with our values, and your willingness to learn and contribute. If you want to support our community, we'd love to hear from you β€” even if you don't check every box.

The ask: one Board meeting a month (summers and December off), plus occasional committee work, for a two-year term. Approximately 5-6 hours per month.

Interested? Email us at [email protected] - we'll send you everything you need to know.

Applications welcome through to August 31, 2026.
