This is a reminder that registration is still open for our Spring Soccer Game Only Add-On running Saturdays from May 30th to June 27th
Want to play just games or maybe test out the sport to see if your child wants to join our full season in September ???

For only $75, players can join us in a fun, beginner-friendly environment focused on pick-up style games and enjoying soccer with others.
This program is open to U7-U15 boys and girls, and spots are still available.

Al came into the presidency as one of the youngest presidents in Sooke Soccer history, full of energy and passion for the game. Then he rose to the challenge in every way possible.

With his calm demeanour, easy-going attitude, and huge heart, he helped lead Sooke Soccer through some of the best years in the club’s history.
Supported by an incredible team of TD staff, coaches, and volunteers.
Al played a role in bringing back three women’s teams — something Sooke Soccer hasn’t seen in over 15 years.
During his presidency, the club also accomplished many amazing things, including:
* Developing a new logo integrated with First Nations artwork
* Obtaining new jerseys, kits, and nets
* Running a concession with some of the best fries in Sooke and a new sign
* Growing our winter, spring, and summer soccer programs
* Hosting many tournaments
* Supporting teams attending travel tournaments
* Hosting amazing appreciation nights for both our adult and youth teams
* Replacing old equipment and hours distributing new kits
* Attending countless meetings and communicating day and night
* Developing amazing technical guidance packages and coaching programs with our top-notch technical staff
* Integrating school district-wide soccer fun days and the Journey Juro’s Soccer Tournament
* Hosting “Bring a Friend to Soccer” events
* Organizing Halloween practices and Christmas parties
* Hosting summer soccer drop-in sessions
*Provincial cup and 2 Mcgavin cups
*The women’s teams moving up divisions in record breaking time and teams finishing first in the league
…among many other accomplishments not listed.

From answering late-night emails for hours on end, to balancing a full-time job while always showing up with a smile on his face, Al led with kindness, integrity, and genuine care for the community.
Thankfully for us, Al isn’t going far and will continue to be part of Sooke Soccer as a player.
If you see Al around the soccer fields, be sure to thank him for the countless hours he dedicated as president.
A huge thank you as well to our team, we truly couldn’t have done it without you. The executive, staff, volunteers and coaches are the heart of Sooke Soccer.
