Our Sooke Spectacular Senior Contest is officially underway once again!

Last year, this motley crew turned our fun-raiser into an unforgettable celebration of community, laughter, and appreciation. While Koshin Moonfist ultimately took home the title of Sooke Spectacular Senior 2025, everyone involved was a winner.

So many incredible seniors were nominated, recognized, and celebrated — reminding us just how much these amazing people mean to our community. Together, we also raised thousands of dollars for Sooke Gathering Place - a crucial legacy project.

Every finalist earned a sash thanks to the Sooke Arts Council and a one-of-a-kind custom crown handcrafted by Frederique Philip. Because spectacular seniors deserve spectacular recognition! 👑

This contest proves one thing: seniors in our community are fun-loving, inspiring, and absolutely SPECTACULAR.

There are just a few days left to make your 2025 tax-deductible donation.
Thanks to the generous support of the community and the hard work of our volunteers we have raised $289,400.00.
Can we break $300,000.00 by the end of the year?

The Sooke Gathering Place will provide a much needed Seniors Drop In Centre. A place for Older Adults in the Sooke Region to socialize, play games, do crafts, learn new things, dance and much more. The youth will be able to build relationships with seniors, a relationship that many are missing. The community will also be able to use the space for celebrations and meetings.

This will be a legacy that will be serve the Sooke Region for decades to come.

We have charitable status and can therefore issue receipts for donations over $25.00, that can be used for tax reduction purposes. Our CRA number is: 859185803 RR 0001
