Have you heard of Sooke Contact? It's a non-profit that encompasses the Sooke Loan Cupboard and Transportation for Medical Drives. It run entirely by volunteers.

The Loan Cupboard has a large supply of physical assistant equipment to loan out at a substantially low cost. Wheelchairs, 4 wheeled walkers and knee scooters are $10 for 1 month. All other equipment (raised toilet seats, commodes, crutches, etc) is $5 for 2 months.

Transportation for Medical Drives, drives people to medical appointments who do not have access to transportation themselves.
