Last weekend we had our annual fundraising dinners. We were blessed to be able to raise over $155,000 towards our operating expenses. Many thanks to those who attended and helped us by volunteering their time to help make it a success. The glory is the Lord’s as we continue this work of mercy in a hurting and hungry world.

We are so grateful for all of our volunteers the past weeks especially when the weather was a bit questionable. The food is being processed and dried in good time. The Lord ordains all that we accomplish and when we put our trust in Him the work gets done.

As we start a new year we do so knowing that we serve an amazing God. When we see our food being distributed in places like Pakistan we know we are doing His will.

There’s been much going at NCG in the last little bit. We had 100 Huntley Street at the facility last week to film an another segment, we had our volunteer appreciation week and our trailer was featured in the West Lincoln parade. God is indeed good. We are also so thankful for our volunteers of course including the Grade 11’s from SDCH who helped us out this week.

It’s been an exciting week at the Gleaners. We installed and commissioned Dryer #3. A huge shout-out to the the crew of volunteers who worked together to assemble the dryer. We are excited about how this additional dryer will impact our operations and production. It is already making a huge difference. Thanks be to God for his ongoing provision and for this much need equipment.

Corporate team building has become a bit of a thing at NCG. This is where employees from a given company come in and volunteer in order to build stronger relationships and work effectively with each other. The result is always positive and rewarding at the same time. A special thanks to AG Wealth Management for coming in again for another team building session.
