The crew of the 5802 Project took on a little side job. Here we are in the main waiting room at the station of the Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario .
A donation from the original builder of this magnificent N scale layout came in last December. It once was displayed at the Wool Growers Society in Carleton Place.
We got new power going to the tracks and the small layout is mounted on a new set of legs. The plexiglass cover got polished up as well.
2 trains run once again!
Next step are to wire in some automation so the trains run only when we have visitors or an engineer nearby and also to paint the base to meet museum display standards.
Should all be ready for the spring re-opening April 1st, Easter Eggspress April 4&5 and the modular rally April 18.
Normally we work with HO scale. Comments from Bruce, Doug, Randy & Gilbert were that our fingers are too big and the trains are too small to place on the track.
