Last evening during our Council meeting, we were proud to recognize an incredible milestone - the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Pictured here are Jeff Sumara, President of Branch 95, Royal Canadian Legion Smiths Falls and Shawn Pankow, Mayor of Smiths Falls as we marked this meaningful occasion.
Mayor Shawn Pankow officially proclaimed July 17, 2026 as the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion, and encourages all residents to join in celebrating and recognizing the outstanding contributions and century of service the Legion has provided to veterans, their families, and communities across Canada.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Royal Canadian Legion and to the members of Branch 95, past and present, for their continued dedication and impact here in Smiths Falls.

At the Annual Cadet Review Ceremony on Sunday,June 07th,2026 President Jeff Sumara of the Royal Canadian Legion Smiths Falls Br.95, presented Flight Sergeant Schankula of 585 Rideau Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron with the Legion Medal of Excellence.
