There are moments in healthcare that stay with you forever.

Today, Evelyn rang the bell.

A simple sound, but one filled with meaning. It marked the end of her chemotherapy treatments, a journey that required incredible strength, courage, and perseverance.

For Evelyn, receiving treatment close to home meant everything. It meant less time traveling and more time focusing on what mattered most: healing, family, and hope.

As she celebrated this milestone, Evelyn chose to make a donation to the Medical Day Unit (Chemotherapy) as a heartfelt thank you to the team who cared for her along the way.

✨ A beautiful way for grandparents to celebrate the little stars in their lives. ✨

There is nothing quite like becoming a grandparent. The joy, the pride, the unconditional love, it changes everything.

Through our Future Stars Program, grandparents can create a lasting tribute for their grandchildren while helping support the care of babies born at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital.

For a donation of $100, a personalized star featuring your grandchild’s first name, last name, and birth year will be displayed on our Future Stars wall at the Smiths Falls Site, just outside the Obstetric Department on the second floor.

Every Future Star purchased helps fund important Women’s Health initiatives as well as equipment that supports local newborns and families during some of life’s most precious moments.

When you support the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation, you're helping ensure that patients and families can access the care they need, close to home.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, new Coagulation Analyzers have recently been installed at both hospital sites. These vital laboratory instruments help healthcare teams diagnose bleeding and clotting disorders, monitor life-saving medications, and make informed decisions before surgery and during treatment.

Behind every test is a person waiting for answers, a family seeking reassurance, or a healthcare professional making critical decisions. In the last year alone, 249,922 laboratory tests were performed at PSFDH.

Reliable, up-to-date equipment helps ensure those results are available quickly and accurately when they matter most.

At approximately $45,000 each, these analyzers are an important investment in patient care one that was made possible through donor support.
