💙 We’re excited to welcome Brittany de Steiger!

The BV Health Foundation Board is very happy to introduce Brittany de Steiger as our new Executive Director!

Brittany is a Northerner through and through. She has spent her whole life in the North and, together with her husband Billy, is raising their family of three right here in our community.

Many of you may already know Brittany from around town. She’s been an active volunteer with Smithers Minor Hockey, the Smithers Steelheads, and BV Softball, giving her time to organizations that bring our community together.

That connection to our community, and her love for the North, make Brittany a great fit for the Foundation. She’s excited to jump in, get to know our donors and supporters, and continue the important work of supporting healthcare close to home.

We’re so happy to have you on board, Brittany! Please join us in giving her a big BV welcome! 💙

Congratulations to Smithers Celebrity Golf Tournament Committee on putting together another fantastic event! ⛳️👏

We were so glad to be part of the fun on Hole #16 on Saturday. Our focus for the day? Making sure all the teams stayed hydrated and ready to keep swinging! 💧🏌️

Thanks to everyone who stopped by, and congratulations again to the committee, volunteers, sponsors, and participants who made the tournament such a success. We’re already looking forward to next year!

🌟 Congratulations to Melody Drolet the first-ever recipient of the Bulkley Valley Health Care and Hospital Foundation's Nurse Practitioner Award! 🌟

This annual award was created to help Nurse Practitioner students complete their practicum while encouraging them to build their careers right here in the Bulkley Valley.

Being selected as the inaugural recipient is a remarkable achievement and a reflection of the compassion, dedication, and commitment you bring to our community every day.

A Million Reasons to Make a Difference!

Today, the Bulkley Valley Health Care & Hospital Foundation in partnership with the Northern Health Authority are excited to announce our newest capital campaign: raising $1 million to bring a new Mammography machine to the Bulkley Valley District Hospital.
This investment is about more than equipment. It's about our mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers, friends, and neighbors. It's about ensuring that people throughout the Bulkley Valley, from Topley to Witset and beyond, have access to life-saving screening services right here at home.

Our community has shown time and again that when we come together, extraordinary things happen. Join us as we begin our journey toward $1 million and keeping health care close to home.

💙 A Gift That Will Save Lives.

We are honoured to share that the Foundation Board has approved the purchase of a Belmont Rapid Infuser RI-2 for the BVDH Emergency Department, made possible through a generous $20,000 gift from the Warwick family.

This equipment delivers rapid, reliable, warmed blood and fluids at the touch of a button, giving our ER team the tools they need when every second counts. It was a priority request during our Spring Grant intake, and thanks to the Warwick family, it's now becoming a reality.

This gift is given in loving memory of Tim Warwick. A tribute that will continue making a difference for patients in our community for years to come.

Thank you, Warwick family. Your generosity means everything.

What started as an inaugural evening of community support, dinner, and fundraising has grown into a meaningful tradition dedicated to supporting health care in the Bulkley Valley. ❤️
