It was a busy night at the Rotary Club of Smithers concession stand at the bvx fall fair. The Prez and Mrs. Prez were smoking hot on the grille and our friend Hans kept himself busy in the dish pit. It's awesome that the rotarians support our shed with a gracious donation for helping them help others.

Remember our Celebration of Life for Toby Walsh tomorrow, August 22nd, at 2:00 at the Bowman's Club. Toby was our first grant writer, a long-time Smithers resident, and creater of the Shoe House.

We are gonna be in the Parade!!!

We’re excited to share that the Smithers Men’s Shed will be participating in the upcoming Fall Fair Parade on Wednesday, August 26th at 7 pm. Our members have been busy preparing, and we’re looking forward to representing the Shed and celebrating our community alongside so many great local groups.

Come out, enjoy the parade, and give us a wave as we roll by. Your support means a lot to all of us at the Shed.

The Smithers Mens Shed were very fortunate again this year to get a helping hand from Wetzin'kwa Community Forest Corporation to cover our operating costs for the coming year. This funding is vital for our program so that the men at the shed are able to continue bonding while working on projects that are beneficial to our community.
Dan (the Prez) and Werner (the ICON) were happy to be the thorns book casing a lovely rose at the check presentation.

The Smithers Men’s Shed would like to extend a massive thank you to Teamsters Rail Division 111 for their incredibly generous $500 donation! This brings our fundraising total up to $1,000 as we push toward our ultimate goal of $6,000 to purchase a new Harvey Gyro air 700 Dust Processor. Our current dust extractor is inefficient, and incredibly noisy. Upgrading to this new HEPA-grade system will mean a much cleaner, healthier, and safer breathing environment for all of our members while they work on projects for the community.
We are so grateful for the community support from Teamsters Rail Division 111 in helping us keep the Shed a safe space for everyone. Thank you again for backing our mission!
