Thank you ViaSport Grant, Northern BC Coaching and Officiating Development Fund!

The NCCP Intro and Artistic Gymnastics Foundations Course will be funded by, or funded in part by, a grant from viaSport BC and the Province of British Columbia.

This opportunity aligns with NESA's long-term goal of building sustainable, high-equality sport programming and increasing local capacity for coach development in northern BC. By increasing the number of trained and certified coaches/officials within the community, NESA will be better positioned to support athlete progression, expand programming opportunities, and host higher-level events and competitions locally.

The training also supports succession planning by developing future leaders, mentors, and learning facilitators who can continue to train and support coaches and officials within the region. Investing in local development reduces reliance on outside expertise and helps create a stronger, more connected northern sport network.

For NESA this opportunity contributes to long-term growth by improving quality, supporting safe sport standards, increasing volunteer and staff confidence, and strengthening the overall participant experience for athletes and families across all levels of sport participation!

Thank you ViaSport Community Sport Program Development Grant - Move Ability Project.

This project was funded by, or funded in part by, a grant from viaSport BC, the Province of British Columbia, and the Government of Canada.

The Move Ability Project is an inclusive gymnastics-based initiative designed for children who require additional physical and behavioural support, and program modifications.

The Northwest Child Development Center (NWCDC) and NESA have partnered to ensure that children of all abilities can safely, confidently, and joyfully engage in physical activity.

This partnership brings together NESA's long-standing expertise in community recreation and gymnastics programming alongside the NWCDC's specialized knowledge in child development and capacity to provide individualized support and recommendations for children with support needs. Adaptive gymnastics equipment will play a critical role in successfully adopting the Move Ability curriculum into the current gymnastics programming!
