Kids of all ages are invited to enjoy carnival games and treats—with a spooky twist! Younger kids can play games and enjoy treats in the children's room, while older kids and tweens challenge their friends to a round of eyeball ping pong, haunted hoopla, or monster knockdown. Come to the carnival in costume or as you are! This program is generously sponsored by the Town of Smithers.

In the last 15 years, researchers in childhood disability have explored using 6 F-word’s to support building connection and focusing on strengths of children, youth and families with therapists, education and other community programs. Talking about fun, family, friends, fitness, function, and future lead easily into current interests and upcoming goals for families!

Reasons staff are enthusiastic about using F-words:
☑️ Focuses on strengths and interests of children and youth that we may not learn otherwise
☑️ Supportive for families, allowing them to direct the goals we are working towards
☑️ Allows for collaboration across different partner organizations with more consistency
☑️ Allows families to get to know our interests too!
