BV NORDIC WORK BEE
There are 65 spots to be filled for the work bee, but some of them can be done prior Sept 13. When looking at the SignUp doc, you will see lots of options for jobs and times when they can be done.

We really need a giant group effort to be ready for the ski season, and as our GM Jan says, we need all of you to help out if the club is going to operate the way you expect it to!

Skiing is still wonderful but we do have one trail closure to tell you about: Wetzin'kwa Trail, because a breeding Goshawk pair have been observed there! The Goshawk is a species at risk and right now they are entering their breeding season, and disturbances create risk to their breeding success. Therefore, to reduce stress to these amazing animals, we are closing the Wetzin’kwa trail from the junction at Broadway to the Demo Forest. We ask that skiers ski somewhere else for the remainder of the season. Check the map on Nordic Pulse (available through the window at the lodge) to be clear. Thank you! And let's wish them good luck during their romantic getaway at BV Nordic.

The BV Nordic Centre will close April 19th, but there is still great spring skiing to be had prior April 19th. At that time the main gate, lodge, waxhut and all other facilities will be closed for the season at 6 PM. All trails will show closed on Nordic Pulse. All ski lockers must be emptied on or before April 19th by 6 PM. Grooming will be sporadic up until then and only if temps are in favour of doing so.
We would like to thank every one skier that has visited the BV Nordic Centre this past season. Without your continued support we would not be able to keep the trails in the high quality we strive for. Thank You and see you November 2026 again.
