Tonight we'll be greeted by the 7th new moon this year, the Strawberry Moon 🍓🌕
There are times in all of our lives when we don't know where we're going, what we're going to do or who we're going to do it with. There will be times when we feel alone, but we must know that we never are.
The Strawberry plant represents the heart of community; one of the first gifts Sky Woman brought to earth with her. Strawberry plants produce runners, their daughters, that reach out from the Mother plant, taking root somewhere else to grow and become a Mother plant itself. The runners can keep reaching over and over again until one can finally take root.
When we are alone it's important to remember that just like the Strawberry plant, we are connected to each other. Sometimes we might forget we're not alone, but that doesn't mean the support and care has stopped. The Mother plant retains the runners she stretched out so she can keep supporting her daughter plants; give them nutrients when they're lacking; help to heal them when one is damaged; act as a source of power, strength and growth. The runners and daughters remain connected to the Mother plants, just as we are connected to creator. When we feel lost, we must remember that Creator walks with us.
NPAAMB is here to support indigenous youth as they reach outward, like Strawberry runners. Connection, relationships and support are a part of success- without the runner attached to the Mother Strawberry, the daughters would never grow on their own.
What helps you feel connected and supported? Who is your 'Mother Strawberry', helping you grow and succeed?
Book a Meet and Greet with NPAAMB today to begin building on and strengthening your roots- We can help you reach!
