Buckle up, folks! This is a long read, but a good one!

We’re excited to share what Silton Recreation and Craven Social Committee have been cooking up together for Culture Days Saskatchewan with a special thanks to SaskCulture for helping make these opportunities happen through their hub sponsorship!

Check out each poster for the unique events happening around the area, exploring the culture of space, place and connection, with a special focus on Last Mountain Lake’s Valeport Recreation Site and Saskatchewan’s incredible fall migration.

We’ve got guided stand-up paddleboard experiences, community gatherings and conversations in Craven and Silton, with plenty to entertain the bird nerds, nature lovers and curious folks alike!

Registration is required for the paddling sessions, but for the bird conversations, come as you are, pull up a chair and join the conversation.

Silton Medical First Responders

Silton Medical First Responders would like to reassure the community that we remain committed to providing emergency medical response when our community needs us.

Silton Medical First Responders operates independently and is a separate organization from Silton Fire. While we have historically worked alongside the fire department, our medical first responder service is independently operated and will continue to respond to dispatched 911 medical emergencies within our service area.

We are currently working cooperatively with the Village of Silton to arrange access to and the transfer of some of our medical response equipment that is presently located at the fire hall. We appreciate the Village’s assistance as we work through these logistical arrangements.

In the event a Stars Ambulance landing would need to occur, at this time, we would need to depend on our neighbouring Fire departments to assist with the landing.

Our priority remains, as always, the safety and well-being of our community. We will continue to respond to dispatched 911 emergencies and provide assistance to the best of our ability.

We appreciate the community’s understanding and support

Our ODR is getting a little facelift today with special thanks to the Longlaketon Multiple 4-H Club and their visiting friends from BC!

in 2019 the 4H crew came out and helped the SloughShark Hockey Club in replacing the boards!
