Please be advised that the public boat launch at 110 Finlayson Street will be closed from September 14th to 23rd, 2026 for the installation of a storm drainage system.
This will require open excavation near the Finlayson Street Boat Launch. For safety reasons, the boat launch will be closed to the public for the duration of this work. Timing was scheduled to avoid the busy summer tourist season while maintaining the target overall project completion.
During these closures, the public will need to use one of the other public boat launches; a list of available launches is available at: https://www.sicamous.ca/explore-discover/boat-launches-and-docks
Pedestrians will still be able to access the walkway to Sicamous Beach Park, with potential short-term (5-minute) holds during working hours (6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). No closures of the Narrows are planned and the Highway 1 closure schedule will continue as usual.
Please watch for and obey construction signs and directions from traffic control personnel.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we complete this important work and look forward to completing this next project milestone.
