Today, for BGC Club Day, a BGC flag was raised at Strathcona County Hall.

Here are some proud members of our team, happy to represent the impact of BGC Clubs across Canada and in Strathcona County. This flag represents 25 years of our local BGC showing up for young people in our community, providing mentorship, support, meals, memories and a place to belong.

Every day kids and youth walking through the doors and find connection, encouragement, safe spaces, caring staff who see their potential and so many unique opportunities that set them up for life.

BGC Club Day highlights our important work, but it also highlights our community. It’s mentorship over meals, confidence built through recreation and learning, and relationships that can change the direction of a young person’s life.

For over 125 years across Canada and more than two decades here at home, BGC Clubs have been helping young people grow into resilient, confident individuals.

Today, we celebrate that legacy and the everyday impact happening right here in Strathcona County. Happy !

Happy ! 🥳 Today, we’re celebrating more than 125 years of BGC Canada and the incredible impact of BGC Clubs nationwide! 💚

Join us tomorrow, June 6th, for our BGC Club Day celebration at Spruce Ave from 10 AM - 1 PM.

We are so honoured to be part of Canada’s largest child- and youth-serving charitable and community services organization. BGC Clubs like ours provide places of belonging, life-changing opportunities, and authentic connections for young people.

BGC Strathcona County will be postponing our Annual General Meeting, and it will not be happening on June 6th.

However, we are still having our BGC Club Day Celebration and BBQ on June 6th from 10 am - 1 pm at our 3 Spruce Ave location. Please join us for food, fun and games!

Our Celebration is coming up on Saturday, June 6th, at 3 Spruce Ave, Sherwood Park.

We're inviting members, partners, council members and anyone interested in learning more about the real impact BGC Strathcona County has on our children and youth to join us!

The day kicks off with our AGM at 9 AM, and then we move into fun, games and BBQ from 10 AM - 1 PM.

Dear Members,

On Tuesday, June 2, at 3 PM, BGC Strathcona County will be presenting to the Strathcona County Council's Priorities Committee regarding the evolving needs of children and youth in our community and our vision for strengthening supports for young people and families.

As part of the discussion, we will share our perspective on the importance of community assets, such as École Campbelltown, and the role they can play in supporting the long-term well-being of children, youth, and families in Strathcona County.

While no action is required, a show of support from our members and community would certainly be welcomed.
