The horrific month of June continues for our brothers and sisters in blue.
Our thoughts and prayers are with law enforcement across Canada. This marks the third deadly police shooting in as many weeks.

Two Montreal police officers were shot in the Côte-des-Neiges borough shortly after 12:30pm today. One of the officers has tragically passed away. We send our prayers to the families of the officers and all members of the SPVM. Take care of one another — these are very challenging times.

Nous avons appris que deux policiers de Montréal ont été touchés par b***e dans l'arrondissement de Côte-des-Neiges peu après 12 h 30 aujourd'hui. Nos pensées vont aux agents blessés, à leurs familles et à tous les membres du SPVM. Prenez soin les uns des autres — nous traversons une période très tragique et difficile.

The Edmonton Police Service joins the Ontario Provincial Police in mourning the death of OPP Constable Tarun Bali. Constable Bali was killed in the line of duty this afternoon in Hearst, Ontario.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues.

No matter the badge, we stand together in our commitment to protect and serve.

Today we pause to remember Captain (ret.) Doug Deacon. An original member of the Strathcona County Firefighters Honour Guard, a dedicated firefighter, a loving husband, and a true friend and mentor. Can't believe it's been nine years.

This is a challenging time of year for many, please know you are not alone. We are here for each other - please reach out.
