Proud to have completed the University of Alberta’s Leading With Influence program.

Over the past 10 weeks, I had the opportunity to strengthen my skills in leadership, communication, relationship building, decision making, and leading change. One of my biggest takeaways was that leadership is not defined by a title, but by the positive influence we have on those around us.

Thank you to the facilitators and fellow participants for the learning, conversations, and insights. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn, reflect, and grow through this experience.

Last night was the Volunteer Strathcona AGM at the Community Centre.

I’m proud to serve as a Board Member with Volunteer Strathcona and grateful to be part of an organization that does so much to support our community. Thank you to everyone who came out and continues to make a difference through volunteering.

Volunteer Strathcona took part in the 79th ARAS - Ardrossan Recreation & Agricultural Society Parade in classic Alberta weather, rain included, enthusiasm intact.

We conducted extensive research into the waterproof rating of volunteers.

Results: Volunteers passed. Shoes failed. Socks remain under investigation.

Despite the rain, it was great to see so many people out supporting the parade and celebrating our community. The turnout and community spirit were incredible.

Beyond grateful for this recognition in the Alberta Legislature. Thank you to MLA Nathan Ip for the introduction and for recognizing the importance of supporting Edmonton’s unhoused community. This work has never been about recognition; it’s about people. I feel incredibly fortunate to stand alongside so many dedicated individuals making a difference every day.

Honoured to have taken part in Survivorfest 24 this morning.

The real impact comes from those who show up, give back and support one another. It was inspiring to see athletes, volunteers, sponsors and supporters come together in support of the Saffron Centre and the important work they do in our community.

Congratulations to everyone who participated. Your dedication, resilience and spirit made this event something special.

A special congratulations to Simone Pfleger, PhD, a UofA staff member, on an incredible 148.4 km. And to everyone who completed the full 24 hours, your commitment was truly inspiring.

Grateful to be part of a community that shows up for one another.

Congratulations to all of the 2026 Strathcona County Awards of Excellence recipients being recognized this evening at Festival Place.

These awards celebrate individuals, organizations, and community leaders whose dedication, service, and contributions help make our community stronger, more connected, and a better place for everyone.

Excited to share that I’ve registered for the National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration Level I through Continuing Education at the University of Alberta, beginning with EXLGP 8200 Local Government.

I’m looking forward to building my knowledge in local government administration governance and leadership while continuing to grow professionally and strengthen my ability to serve the community.

Looking forward to the journey ahead.
