June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day. National Indigenous Peoples Day takes place on the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. For generations, many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities have celebrated their cultures, languages, and traditions at this time of year.
Join the Arts & Culture Council of Strathcona County - ACCSC at the Ardrossan Recreation Complex to celebrate the Summer Solstice, share and celebrate the rich and diverse cultures and traditions and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
They will open the day with a pipe ceremony to welcome this new season; followed by an Indigenous Market, Dancers & Singers, guest speaker Roberta Alook, Kids' Corner, a Motorcycle Show 'n' Shine, a Feast and more!
