Passion Projects is a Canadian Non-Profit Organization founded in 2016. Passion: It's in all of us. However, far to often these passions get pushed aside for a stable, comfortable lifestyle. Passion Projects targets the humanitarians of the world that have started a project and are not willing to let the realities of life end the story. The project started when the founder, Corey, decided he was g
oing to take a trip around the world. He spontaneously decided to head to Tanzania. Little did he know he was becoming connected to something that would control his heart. Afroplan. A small locally owned and operated non-profit organization that focusses on providing basic education and feeding programs to the vulnerable children of Usa River, Tanzania. Corey spent in total 8 months living very close by working closely with Afroplan and creating his own sponsorship program. This launched what would become the very first Passion Project: Corey's commitment to educate as many children as possible. Life slowly begins to get in the way and the money saved up slowly drains. Through his journey, Corey met many people and recognized they too were in similar situations. Although they loved what they were doing, and had so much desire to continue their work, they had to go home. For Corey, that fire and passion for the projects he was involved in never subsided. Many people get employed and hope to save their money so they can continue to support their projects. They are committed to these passions because it is a topic on their mind everyday. However, life gets busy, the process of becoming a legitimate non-profit with Canadian Revenue Agency approval is difficult, plans change and that passion for their project slowly becomes forgotten. Passion Projects goal is to contribute to ending this trend. We want to keep the fire burning, for any social cause, near or far. Passion Projects is well into the process of becoming a CRA approved non-profit organization. Our goal is to partner with people who want to keep their passion fire burning without all the hard work of starting their own non-profit, building their own team, and running all their own Campaigns. We are looking to build a support network of social entrepreneurs, that can leverage each others skills to continue the progression of each person's passion projects.
