Laurence (Volunteer in 2015) visited Mae Sot last week, almost ten years after her time in Mae Sot as a volunteer for MSEP. The connections still present shows the strength of the relationships built during someone’s time in Mae Sot.
Here is a message from Laurence: « C’était un réel bonheur de pouvoir retourner à Mae Sot après 10 ans déjà! Ayant maintenu des contacts avec certains élèves et professeurs, j’ai eu le privilège de pouvoir revoir certains d’entre eux de nouveau. Une immersion dans la réalité d’aujourd’hui de Mae Sot mais aussi de la situation actuelle en Birmanie. Des discussions touchantes qui m’ont immédiatement reconnecter à la mission du Mae Sot Education project. »

“It was a true feeling of happiness to be able to come back to Mae Sot after 10 years already! Since I kept contact with a few students and teachers, I had the privilege of being able to see a couple of them again. I was able to immerse into the reality of Mae Sot today, but also the current situation in Myanmar. Deep and meaningful discussions were had which immediately reconnected me to the mission of the Mae Sot Education Project.”
