Women’s rights are never set in stone—they are defended through action, solidarity, and collective resistance. 💜

On International Women’s Rights Day, we recognize that every right gained has been fought for, and every right can be taken away. Today is a reminder that progress is only possible when we stand together, speak up, and refuse to back down.

Let’s keep pushing forward. ✊

📚✨ This Black History Month, we’re honoring the past, present, and future by amplifying voices that matter. At the Sexual Violence Support Centre (SVSC), we’re committed to using an intersectional feminist, survivor-centered, and trauma-informed approach to support survivors and educate our community. 🌍💜

Here are 5 powerful books to deepen your understanding and strengthen your allyship:

1. Women, Race, and Class by Angela Y. Davis
2. White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo
3. Shut Up You're Pretty by Tea Mutonji
4. Code Noir by Canisia Lubrin
5. The New Jim Crow by Michelle Alexander

Let’s continue to learn, grow, and stand together in solidarity. 📖✊

🌈✨ What does the "I" stand for in 2SLGBTQIA+? This week, we’re diving into “I” as part of our series on understanding and celebrating the diversity of identities within the acronym.

"I" represents Inters*x—a term for people born with variations in s*x characteristics that don’t fit typical cis-normative definitions of male or female bodies.

Learning about inters*x identities helps us create a more inclusive, respectful, and affirming community for all. 💜 Dive into the details on our post and check out the French explanation on the third slide! 🇫🇷
