It’s time to mark those calendars, start making your holiday wish lists, and get excited because Christmas in Sexsmith is happening November 19–21! ✨

Our 6th Annual Miniature Art Show is returning to the Sexsmith Shannon Library, and we want to see what you can create!
Don’t let the word miniature fool you, we’ve seen some BIG creativity come out of these tiny masterpieces!

Canvas, paper, and textile artwork welcome
All ages are welcome to participate
$1 entry fee
$2 canvases available for purchase
Prizes to be won!

It does not have to be on canvas or a painting...
The challenge? Your entire masterpiece must fit inside a 4×4 box

Your artwork will be on display at the library during Christmas in Sexsmith - November 19, 20 & 21.
Prizes will be selected by public vote; and new this year local author Hannah Semenyna - Artist will do us the honour of awarding our first ever "Artists Choice" Award

So grab your creativity, think small, and show us what you can do!

Will you be there? We hope you will be, because after six incredible years of this special small-town Christmas event, it just keeps getting better, more festive, and brighter every year.

The “Ber” months are officially here. 🍂

You know what that means... the nights get colder, the leaves are crunching under our feet, and before we know it, we’re gathering with family and friends for cozy dinners, holiday markets, festive events and all the little traditions that make this time of year so special.

But do you know what we’re really looking forward to? Christmas in Sexsmith on November 19–21, 2026. 🗓

That’s right. We’re already getting things ready behind the scenes, and we’re pretty excited about what’s coming.
