The 2026 Census starts today, let's make Selkirk count!

Starting May 4, households will receive invitation letters to complete the 2026 Census online. Every person counted brings THOUSANDS of federal and provincial dollars into Selkirk.

That means funding that supports your roads, water, healthcare, schools, parks, programs, and more. If someone isn't counted, that funding doesn't come. Each missed response represents nearly $10,000 lost for Selkirk.

Want new restaurants or businesses in Selkirk? Investors use Census data to decide where to invest.
Recreation facilities? Also guided by Census.

βœ” It takes about 10 minutes
βœ” It’s mandatory by law
βœ” It’s completely confidential
βœ” Everyone in Selkirk must be counted. Everyone.

Simply put: Every completed Census brings more financial support into Selkirk, and every missed response means fewer resources for the services you depend on.

Keep an eye out in your mail for your invitation to complete the Census and make Selkirk count.
