The Fairy Band will play all the Renaissance music from our show, As You Like It, in concert on Friday September 18th, 7 pm, at Living Faith Lutheran Church, 4607 Whitaker Rd, Davis Bay. Informal; admission by donation. We will present the Big Cheque of our donation to the Bev Shaw Literacy Fund. We might even reveal next year’s show! All are welcome. See you there!

🎭 That’s a wrap! Thank you, Sunshine Coast, for supporting live theatre and making As You Like It such a wonderful success. More than 800 people came out to experience Shakespeare’s joyful comedy full of memorable characters, surprising connections, live music, and woodland magic. 🌿🎶

If you're going to today's matinee performance of As You Like It, remember the Saturday market on Cowrie Street is on until 2pm. Parking options include parking above /behind the Rockwood Pavillion (see map below) or park at Trail Bay Mall and walk up. Give yourself some extra time.

🎭 Meet Richard Austin, who plays Duke Frederick and Duke Senior in Coast Shakespeare’s production of As You Like It!
✨ Richard spent 10 years acting on stage and TV in the UK, and here on the Coast he has appeared in many Driftwood Players productions, including The Drawer Boy, Blithe Spirit, Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet), and Blood Relations.
📚 Richard loves Shakespeare’s mastery of language and has enjoyed the challenge of bringing both the ruthless Duke Frederick and the generous Duke Senior to life.
🎙️ Richard is also known for performing Gerard Manley Hopkins’ poetry and is beloved for his readings at the Sechelt Library.
