Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.
Su***de is a major public health challenge, claiming the lives of more than 720 000 people every year globally. Each life lost has profound social, emotional, and economic consequences, deeply affecting families, friends, workplaces, and entire communities around the world.

2026 marks the third and final year of the triennial theme for World Su***de Prevention Day (2024–2026), Changing the Narrative on Su***de, with the call to action: Start the Conversation. This theme calls on us all to challenge harmful myths, reduce stigma, and foster open, compassionate conversations about su***de. It is about shifting from silence and misunderstanding to openness, empathy, and support, creating environments where people feel able to speak up and seek help.

'Arrowhead Gives Back' strikes again. This month we took homemade muffins to the Post Office. They are amazing (the Post Office staff ... and the muffins!!!) and help our members so much. Enjoy the muffins and THANK YOU!

It's summer in the Arrowhead garden and the food crops are starting to pop. We have harvested potatoes, tomatoes, beans, garlic, and even a few peaches and pears from our young fruit trees. Thanks to One Straw Society West Coast Seeds and Neighbourhood Small Grants Network for your ongoing support.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Arrowhead Clubhouse member Brayden Zumaeta. Brayden was a member here for about 4 years. He was a lovely young man. Charming, polite, thoughtful, caring, hard working and loving. We will miss Brayden greatly (and his beautiful poodle).
Our thought are with his friends and family.
Brayden Zumaeta,1993 - 2026. Rest in Peace.
