On Tuesday, we hosted a Pollination & Seed Bomb Workshop. We discovered the different flower shapes, colours, and patterns that attract bees, butterflies, beetles and even birds and how these pollinators ensure the future of our precious seed resources. We then got dirty and made some seed bombs using pollinator-friendly seed blends to spread the beauty and bounty of flowers in our Sechelt community.

Thank you to Neighbourhood Small Grant Funds for supporting this workshop and our garden program, to and for donating seeds, and to our friends at Native Bee Society of BC for creating the beautiful native plant colouring page.

Arrowhead Gives Back! We strike again. This time Kathy and Matt surprised the team of amazing cafeteria staff at the Hospital. They do a lot behind the scenes for our members( and others) and we are proud to share some love with them. If you have an idea whom we should "surprise" next, please contact Kathy at Arrowhead.

Well, it happened. And it was a beauty to behold. Arrowhead ran a FASHION SHOW! (The first of many.) An actual real Fashion Show – with designers, models and a catwalk. Tag Line – “We owned it – We flipped it – We rocked it!” Members turned ordinary clothes into fearless statements – exploding with creativity, owning their style, and spreading pure, unapologetic joy! Arrowhead Style.
Check out the AMAZING photos. All the outfits were assembled from items donated to Arrowhead over the last 3 months. Each year we receive over 1,400 donations from our wonderful Sunshine Coast community – thank you.
A few Thank Yous - the designers (Tara, Deb and Cory), the models (Shannon, Cory, Dixie, Foye, Tara, and Deb), the photographer (thank you ), and of course the wonderful Aenny who helped hold the whole thing together!
See you next year! Until then, whatever you are wearing … make sure you rock it!

It's Mental Health Week this week. This year it's all about connecting with your community and yourself! Together, we can strengthen belonging, reduce isolation, and support well-being, because connection strengthens mental health. Come along to the Arrowhead Open House and BBQ on Wednesday - 11.30am and look out for some fun posts in the next few days :0)

Mental Health Week starts today.

Good mental health doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s shaped by the conditions around us - safe housing, access to food, connection, support, and a sense of belonging.

At SCCSS, we see this every day.

From Arrowhead Clubhouse to family supports, housing programs, food security, and outreach - our work is all connected. When people have what they need, they’re better able to stay well, recover, and move forward.

This week, we’ll be sharing voices from Arrowhead Clubhouse alongside the broader work happening across our community.

Because mental health is not just about services - it’s about people feeling seen, supported, and part of something.

It is with extreme sadness we share with you the loss of our one and only Steve Meredith. This photo depicts him perfectly. Sitting quietly in his own world, lost in a book. Steve has a sharp mind and an even sharper wit and we will miss seeing him in the Clubhouse every day. Arrowhead will be hosting a celebration of Steve's life on Tuesday May the 26th (11.30am), in the garden. We send all our love to Steve's family and especially his sister Patty, who was able to be here to say goodbye. Rest well Steve, you deserve it.
