Sunshine Coast Hospice

Sunshine Coast Hospice We support people with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones. We’re also working with VCH to open the Coast’s first dedicated hospice in 2027.

Through trained volunteers, we offer free grief, bereavement and advance care planning services. Coast Hospice has been providing compassionate care since 1987. Our volunteers offer companionship and bereavement support at home, in hospital and in comfortable private hospice rooms here on the Sunshine Coast. Hospice provides extensive volunteer training and support in bereavement and vigil care to

allow us to continue to provide the best services possible. Together we make a difference; together we create a compassionate community.

UPDATE: Mary and Ted have raised almost $6,200! This is a wonderful achievement towards open the doors to Mossy Rock Hospice. Thank you!

✨Ted and Mary Bentley have always believed that caring for a community means showing up for one another, especially during life's most difficult moments. That's why, in celebration of their 60th Wedding Anniversary, they asked their friends and family to support the construction of Mossy Rock Hospice.

"Supporting Coast Hospice means supporting our neighbours, our friends, and our families. We've all been touched by illness or loss in some way, and we believe everyone deserves compassionate care close to home. We're honoured to be raising funds for Mossy Rock Hospice and hope you'll join us. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference."

Every dollar donated, every helping hand, and every act of support is bringing Mossy Rock Hospice closer to opening its doors and keeping our loved ones close.

✨We were honoured to host BC Finance Minister Brenda Bailey, and our own MLA, Minister Randene Neill for a tour of Mossy Rock Hospice.🏠

Both ministers were interested in learning more about the partnership we have achieved with our local health authority to create a new hospice facility in our community, while keeping costs reasonable.

At The Circle, it’s not just about the activities; it’s about the connection that happens along the way. 🐦

A little teamwork. A few laughs. A shared project. And the simple joy of creating something together.

Our palliative day program gives people living with life-limiting illness a place to spend time with others, try something new, and feel connected to their community, with caring volunteers there to support them every step of the way.

The Circle is here to help you feel connected, supported, and part of this community!

Your legacy can make a lasting difference. 💙

For years, Bill and Trudene have supported Coast Hospice through the Lights of Life and Hike for Hospice campaigns, while also choosing to leave a lasting impact by directing a portion of their endowment to Coast Hospice.

Thank you, Bill and Trudene, for your generosity and for helping build a legacy of compassion that will support our community for generations to come. 💛

💛 Sometimes, the greatest gift is simply having someone there.💛

At The Circle, our palliative day program, our volunteers do more than lend a helping hand. They sit with you. They listen. They share a laugh, a cup of tea, lunch, a story, or a quiet moment. They’re there to remind you that you are still part of a community. That you are seen, valued, and never alone.

For those living with life-limiting illness, or those who are caregiving for loved ones, having a familiar face and a caring presence can mean so much. The Circle is a place to connect, feel supported, and be yourself.

If you or someone you love could benefit from the support and companionship of The Circle, we’re here. 🧡 Contact us today to register!
